StreetMetrics Enters Partnership with Gateway Outdoor Advertising to Bolster Transit Ad Measurement

BIRMINGHAM, AL, February 13, 2024 - StreetMetrics, the leader in Transit Out-of-Home media measurement, announced today its partnership with Gateway Outdoor Advertising. The partnership reinforces and validates that regional transit advertisers are interested in analytics and insights to measure the performance of their campaigns.

Local advertising dollars are being allocated to online and digital mediums due to the ease in ability to measure the performance and effectiveness of the ad spend. One way offline advertising, such as transit advertising, can remain relevant in the ad spend realm, is by providing similar data-backed insights that are typically associated with digital and online advertising.

Gateway Outdoor will utilize the StreetMetrics solution by planning, forecasting and reconciling media performance of campaigns and analyzing its customers’ campaign effectiveness through attribution. Gateway Outdoor will also have the ability to serve its Transit Authorities (TAs) by passing back the data, informing them of the best locations to engage potential riders, and by providing its community partners with measurements and insights to increase the value of those partnerships.

Craig P Heard, President and CEO, Gateway Outdoor Advertising, said - “With the StreetMetrics platform, Gateway Outdoor will be able to provide reliable, data-driven insights to its customers through planning, measurement and attribution offerings.”

Craig Heard Jr, SVP Marketing, Gateway Outdoor Advertising, said - “Given that Gateway Outdoor has primarily focused on transit and bus advertising for more than 35 years, we determined it was crucial for us to find a solution that enables us to now measure our clients’ advertising campaigns, ensuring they receive the same level of insights as they do with online advertising. We knew StreetMetrics was the way to go simply because of their commitment to providing data-backed insights. This opportunity will allow us to better understand our markets and potential audiences, which will allow us to better serve our customers.”

Michael Steinberg, CRO, StreetMetrics, said - “StreetMetrics was founded on the guiding principle of providing transit operators with the same planning, measurement and attribution capabilities as digital advertising. We are thrilled to announce our partnership and to support Gateway in their goal to provide brands with measurement and insights that resonate with advertisers and their need for relevant data that allows for the expansion of ad spend in the transit space.”
